The Mountain Home City Council Thursday ratified an agreement for the city to pay $5,500 a month to Baxter County to house city prisoners in the county jail starting Oct. 1 until Dec. 31, 2012. The vote was unanimous among the six council members present. Baxter County Quorum Court had ratified the agreement earlier.
